A freight train recording from western new york, usa. Recorded with a zoom h1n at 24-bit, 48khz, stereo but reduced to flac 16-bit for file size. Microphone was roughly 500 meters away with houses in-between.

What seems to be a malfunctioning alarm at a rail crossing. The clanging of the electronic bell has an irregular pattern and seems muted. Perhaps even more annoying to some than the typical crossing gate alarm.

A bell announces a train is coming, quickly followed by the roar of an approaching engine. Many train cars pass in a cacophony of steel wheels and roaring mass, followed by a fade-out.

What's in a name.

A short track recorded during subway ride in poland. Contains the sound of speeding subway train engine, door opening/closing and some quiet talks in the background. I'm using this in a song of mine, thought i'll share it with you guys tho. Recorded with xperia u's recorder.
